As a Houstonian, I am proud and honored to announce my campaign for City of Houston, City Council District K.  My commitment and dedication to the citizens of Houston stem back over thirty years, where I served as a public employee as Assistant to Chief of Staff under Mayor Lee P. Brown.  While under Mayor Brown appointed to Chair the Super Neighborhood Alliance Committee comprised of the Presidents and/or Chairs of 88 Super Neighborhood Councils.

Throughout my years with the city, I had the privilege to be a problem solver working in various departments, assisting citizens in the Acres Home, Settegast, Pleasantville, Sunnyside and Southwest communities of Houston.  I have mentored and volunteered with Texas A & M Extension Services, The World Youth Foundation, Inc., currently serving as a board member on the Northeast YMCA and as a member of Economic Development Committee with the NAACP.

The Campaign “Keeping District K Moving Forward will include interaction openly to the concerns of all our community members with the goal of building a better District K one that thrives economically and maintains good communication between the city administration and the constituents of District K.  My commitment is to serve the citizens of our great city and contribute to its growth and prosperity; I will support public safety in our communities, encourage the continued improvements of city infrastructureencourage new economic development while supporting our local business, increase community partnerships to improve the quality of life for all citizens including our senior citizens, and promote youth involvement throughout our communities.
